MERINOSELECT Analysis Delay

Thursday, 31 January 2008

The 7th September analysis will be delayed for up to two weeks to:

  • Improve the use of syndicates (where sires are known) in the MERINOSELECT analysis
  • Review across flock and across year linkage to improve the quality and accuracy of genetic groups (used in the calculation of breeding values for animals with missing pedigree).

Members should provide details of sires used in syndicates to MERINOSELECT as soon as convenient to take advantage of the new analysis.

Flocks requiring urgent breeding values for sale or selection purposes can get within flock breeding values (FBV's) generated by MERINOSELECT in the interim.

More details in the attached PDF file here.
